Engineering Apprenticeship - Automotive

An opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice to join an engineering company in Birmingham who provide tooling and jigs for the automotive industry.

This apprenticeship will offer variety and the opportunity to move around the business in various departments, gaining experience in CAD, assembly, CNC machines, bench fitting and maintenance as well as working with a lot of different materials.

Our client is looking for someone who is keen to learn and is looking for a career in a forward thinking business.

The training will take place in our new academy in Birmingham where you will be required to attend a 6 week programme prior to starting the apprenticeship where you will spend 2 days per week gaining your Level 1 Certificate in Engineering. On successful completion of this, you will move onto your apprenticeship where 1 day a week will be spent in classroom/workshop based learning to gain your Level 2 Diploma in Performing Engineering Operations and Diploma in Engineering and Technology and 4 days with your employer. On successful completion of your Level 2 Apprenticeship, you will then be given the opportunity to progress to our Level 3 Apprenticeship Programme.

The successful candidate must have a flexible, enthusiastic attitude with good team working ability. The ability to follow instruction and self-motivation is also a pre requisite.

This is open to 16-18 year olds only, due to government funding available.
