The Business Development Apprentice (BDA) will work closely with the members of the Business Development Team to ensure that all sales processes are quickly, accurately and professionally completed.

This will involve providing support to the Account Executives in relation to advertising and recruiting and arranging client side interviews. The successful candidate will also be required to work closely with the Recruitment Coordinator to consistently and efficiently screen and process candidate applications, attend recruitment events and ensure that applicants receive an efficient and helpful service.

Finally, the successful candidate will be required to perform administrative functions relating to various contracts that the company has for engagement of employers.

At all times, the BDA will be required to work with SalesForce and to keep this system absolutely up to date.


Application Processing:

• Advertise vacancies on all agreed platforms and keep advertisements live and refreshed at all times.

• Constantly monitor applications received, responding to good applicants within 24 hours and booking the candidates in for interviews with an Account Executive.

• Support the process of booking candidates in for weekly registration days including sending out confirmation emails.

• Support the delivery of Registration day activities, including administration of paperwork and signing in of learners.

• Attend regular recruitment events with the Recruitment Coordinator, speaking to prospective candidates and selling the opportunities that Future LDN and Tech City Stars have to offer. Process information at these events effectively.

• Ensure that candidate records on Salesforce are kept up to date and that all candidate statuses are accurate. Make notes on candidate records for all interaction with them.

• Ensure that documentation relating to candidate screening interviews is properly stored and archived in such a way as to make retrieval of the information easy.

• Provide information to the Communications Coordinator and ensure that weekly emails highlighting new job opportunities are sent to candidates.

• Monitor and meet pre-defined Key Performance Indicators in relation to these tasks each week.

• Business Development Support:

• Prepare Job Descriptions for new vacancies once briefed by the Business Development Executive and have these agreed by the Client.

• Keep the client database up to date and ensure that client mailing list is regularly updated.

• Monitor and meet pre-defined Key Performance Indicators in relation to these tasks each week.

• Administration and Secretarial:

• Keep Client and Candidate records on SalesForce up to date at all times and use SalesForce as the primary tool for recording information on these groups.

• Provide administrative support in relation to funding contracts ensuring that accurate records are kept and that high quality paperwork is sent to funders

• Link up with L&D Ops team to coordinate funding paperwork and provide information on new Clients and Apprentices.

• Monitor and meet pre-defined Key Performance Indicators in relation to these tasks each week.


• Good GCSE grades

• Excellent Communicator in person, on the phone and in writing

• Organised and efficient with the ability to take initiative

• Tenacious, target oriented and driven to achieve results


• 2-4 A Good A Levels

• Office work experience

• Knowledge of Salesforce

• Proven ability to understand, meet and exceed targets


£200 per week


37.5h/week (Mon-Fri, 9:00 to 17:30 with an hour unpaid for lunch)


In most cases, candidates will be eligible if they:

• Live in London

• Are aged between 16 and 23

• Have NOT achieved a qualification at level 4 or higher.
