Asda Logistics Services (ALS) manages warehousing, transport, fleet, logistics and reverse logistics on behalf of ASDA, servicing over 576 stores. Over the last 25 years, ALS‘ operation has moved from servicing big warehouses, big trucks and big stores to a complex multiformat, multichannel retailer; delivering excellent customer service from Supercentres and Superstores to sand-alone Petrol Filling Stations.

We have 38 operations across the UK with over 11 million square feet of warehouse space, employing over 14,000 colleagues.

We deliver over 1.8 billion cases per year across a multi-format estate and our fleet of over 3,000 vehicles travel 90 million miles per annum.

We will continue to leverage value, share resources and best practice across our estate. Home Shopping Centres and the Grocery Home Shopping Fleet moved to ALS this year, and will undergo major mechanisation of processes, increasing capacity and improving productivity to support the growing demand for online retail.

This is an opportunity that you don’t want to miss; working for Asda, a leading supermarket, will give you great opportunities with excellent prospects.

The ALS Next Generation Scheme is designed to identify talented future leaders. The scheme provides individuals with a national apprenticeship qualification alongside fast track route to management.

As an ALS Apprentice you will work within the Distribution Centre experiencing all aspects of the Warehouse operation.

You will work in all depot departments to support Asda's Top Talent Apprenticeship Programme.

You’ll be surrounded by state-of-the-art technology that helps us move, stack and track goods.

Better still, you'll be part of a close-knit team with one shared purpose - to get the right products to the right stores, at the right time.

Our Depots come in all shapes and sizes, employing anywhere between 200 and 1,200 colleagues. Meaning you could play an important part in keeping us up and running in our busy Warehouse Depots where great customer service starts with you.

You will report to your mentor who will be the Regional Operations Manager along with attending monthly visits with your Babcock Vocational Learning Adviser who will support your learning and development throughout your apprenticeship.
