Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic individual to join one of the UK’s leading Power Tool Manufacturers as a Workshop Apprentice. As part of the workshop team, you will be repairing and testing products for resale. In doing so contributing to achieving Evolution’s vision and mission of making a difference.


Reporting to the Workshop and Warehouse Manager:

Main Duties & Tasks:

  • To support the Workshop team in repairing returned products in a safe and timely manner
  • Inspect and check the products
  • Fix products for resale
  • Operate safely and follow health & safety procedures
  • Test the goods to ensure they work
  • Make decisions if the product is economic to repair
  • Maintain high levels of site house-keeping
  • Maintain high levels of health & safety and report any concerns to Warehouse & Workshop Manager immediately
  • Actively work towards to the overall company objectives, and work in collaboration with other Evolution employees to ensure continuous improvement
  • Any other ad/hoc tasks when required; which may include helping in the warehouse or visiting tradeshows

  • Possibility of full time employment subject to successful completion of Apprenticeship

Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week)

Qualifications Required

  • Minimum of 5 GCSE or numbered equivalent A*-D (9-3) grades including English and maths
