Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a highly successful vacuum pump and compressor company as an apprentice in our Hull Warehousing Department.

Responsibilities

Our company is offering a Supply Chain Warehouse Operative, Level Two Apprenticeship. The main purpose of the role is to assist the Warehouse Supervisor in the day to day running of our busy Hull warehouse. The primary purpose of the role is the picking and packing of pumps, spare parts, and accessories ready for distribution to our customers.

Main duties include:

  • Liaise with the Sales Administration Department in order to correctly pick, pack, and distribute Sales Order on a daily basis
  • To receive goods into the warehouse from suppliers and customers - this involves booking stock onto our Microsoft Navision system, unpacking the goods, labelling them, and storing them in their correct location in the warehouse
  • Basic engineering work to ready pumps for delivery - basic valve setting, and pump conversion work as necessary
  • Preferably the successful candidate will hold a full UK driving licence as the role will entail undertaking driving duties in our delivery vehicle - this involves collection and delivery to customers and from suppliers throughout the UK
  • Stock control - undertake regular stock checks to ensure the stock held in the warehouse agrees with the computer system
  • The company is looking at improving its stock control systems and we would require the successful candidate to take a prominent role in this process, this is an excellent opportunity to make a significant contribution to the development of the business, · Upkeep and housekeeping duties required to keep the warehouse clean and safe for all staff

The successful candidate will secure a full time, permanent position within the company, upon completion of the Apprenticeship.
