Responsibilities

Candidate’s daily duties will involve: 

  • Advising your customers on vehicle needs, time for repair and booking loan vehicles
  • Booking in vehicles – workshop loading and parts ordering
  • Controlling and organising work for the workshop staff and parts department
  • Preparing accurate invoices
  • Customer vehicle handover – after the work is done you will have to explain work carried out and the costs involved
  • General office duties

Qualifications Required

You will need 3 GCSEs or equivalent at 9-4/A*-C, especially maths, English, ICT or equivalent.

Training Provided

Over the 24 – 30 month programme you will initially work towards the Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard Customer Service Practitioner before progressing to a Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard Customer Service Specialist, and receive the following:

  • At work training supported with coaching, mentoring and assessment
  • Instructor led training at Volvo’s Training & Development Centre at Daventry
  • Online learning modules (+ other elective sessions if you wish)
  • Webinar based modules
  • Assignments and workbooks: completed by self-study/in dealer study
  • On the job competence assessment with assigned mentors
  • Apprentice Showcase and End point assessment at Volvo to achieve the apprenticeship standards
