This vacancy is for an Vehicle Refinishing Apprentice based in Morecambe, Lancashire. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to undertake valuable work experience whilst gaining on the job qualifications.

Responsibilities

The role of an Vehicle Refinishing Apprentice may include:

  • The technical needs for basic repair and preparation procedures. It provides essential knowledge and skills for vehicle body paint operators
  • The learning programme involves learners studying both the theory and practical aspects, including: preparing metal and pre-painted surfaces, preparing and applying fillers and foundation materials to vehicles and repairing minor paint defects
  • Learners will also gain a broad knowledge and understanding of health and safety in the workplace and other skills associated with working in the industry

As a fully qualified Vehicle Refinishing Mechanic, there will be many opportunities within the automotive field.

Qualifications Required

Minimum of 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) grade D/3 or above including English, maths and a science related subject is desirable. Slightly lower grades will be considered. Other equivalent qualifications are acceptable.
