Responsibilities
What will the apprentice be doing?
On a day to day basis you’ll be working with industrial equipment (mechanical drives, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, pumps), undertaking fault diagnostics & resolving issues in a timely manner.
Working with control systems to help optimize the assets across our sites
•Complete multi-skill training (electrical)
•Support the company’s drive to improve safety standards
•Responsible for ensuring all activities are performed in a safe and diligent manner, giving regular feedback on any issues.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Completing a Level 3 NVQ as a Utilities Engineering Technician, you will develop the skills and experience required to become an expert Maintenance Technican within our operational teams. Combining on-the-job learning with formal, nationally recognised development training to gain your level 3 apprenticeship.
To help drive your career progression, you’ll be supported by your Line Manager/Mentor to create your personal development plan, which will be reviewed regularly in performance reviews.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
At the end of your training, as long as you pass your end point assessment and have met your performance targets throughout your Apprenticeship, you will be offered an opportunity in a permanent role with us.
Reality Check
We aim to train our Utilities Engineering Technician Apprentices on sites in locations local to them, however this is not always possible, so if you are flexible on site location do let us know in your application.Skills Required
