Job Description

Herts Urgent Care (HUC) are looking to expand their team by taking on an organised and proactive individual as a Training and Development Administrator - Within this role you will complete the Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the implementation and administration of HUC’s new learning platform – be the main admin support for HUC staff accessing the learning platform and ensure the platform is up to date with starters and leavers, external training bookings, certificates, etc.
  • Assist managers with running reports and creating training packages
  • Keep track of contracted employee compliance
  • Collate course application forms, organise, and attend the Training and Development Request Sub Committee, ensure agenda and minutes are sent out in a timely manner
  • Monitor and answer any queries that come into the e-learning, training, and clinician help desk inboxes
  • Handle the administration of our Corporate Inductions: sending invites, scheduling and supporting presenters, collating feedback
  • Implement the training plan: assist with the sourcing of suppliers, organise courses – allocate trainers and book venues, issue joining instructions and producing certificates
  • Assist with the raising of Purchase Orders and ensure suppliers are paid in a timely manner

Future Prospects

  • We are looking for someone who is interested in administration but who may also have an interest in moving into learning and development
  • We foresee this role moving past basic admin tasks and into more of a learning and development focus as the training and development department grows and expands our internal training offerings

Reality Check

  • It would be beneficial for the apprentice to have their own transport for days they need to be in the office

Skills Required

  • Computer literate, competent in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and can keep accurate data and learn new systems easily
  • Proofreading skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills

Qualities Required

  • Proactive approach to work
  • Good communicator, written and verbal
  • Highly organised

Qualifications Required

  • Mathematics and English at GCSE or equivalent

Training Provided

Whilst the delivery of training and some of the content will be bespoke to employer’s needs, there are key elements that will be covered throughout. These will focus on the importance of:
