Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an apprentice to join this well established electrical wholesale business.

Responsibilities

The person will learn about the running of a successful Electrical Wholesale Business.

As a small company they will be trained in all aspects of the Business.

Dealing with customers over the telephone, email or face to face on our trade counter.
Establishing what the customer requires.
Dealing with the requirement either from our existing stocks or by ordering from one of our suppliers.
Quoting customer if necessary.
Receiving goods from delivery drivers/carriers.
Checking goods into stock via our computer system.
Dealing with these goods either putting them into stock or booking them out to customers if they have been ordered specifically.

Dealing with Suppliers over the telephone or email. Meeting Suppliers representatives over our trade counter.
Sourcing products for customer requirements and our stock.
Obtaining prices from suppliers and delivery dates.
Placing purchase orders with suppliers.
Ensuring the orders re delivered as agreed by contacting suppliers if necessary.

Stock Control
Ensuring adequate stock of product we keep in our warehouse.
Ensuring the physical stock matches that on the computer.

General Office Jobs
Filing away some paperwork such as delivery notes and picking notes.
Making sure we have plenty of office supplies such as printer paper/ink
stationery and ordering it from our suppliers.
