Responsibilities
What will the apprentice be doing?
Deliver work, care and support programmes to individual pupils or groups
General support to the class teacher in management and organisation of pupils, resources and classroom
Support in behaviour management & reinforcing policies & procedures
Support development of other key skills aiding pupil's learning
Translate tasks at Pupil level
Take appropriate action to any emergencies
Help to care for unwell children
General admin support to the teacher and school e.g. photocopying & filing
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The learner will achieve a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
With the right experience and training, you can progress to a more senior role, including a higher level teaching assistant. You'll have a better salary and more responsibilities, such as helping to plan some lessons, the opportunity to specialise in a subject and leading a class with supervision
