Job Description

You will be doing a Level 3 Data Technician apprenticeship as part of Central Bedfordshire Council's Early Careers Development Programme. Alongside the apprenticeship, you will be supporting your team with generating and processing data, and learning about the work the team does to support its internal and external customers as a 'Data Champion'.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Using QGIS, the leading Open Source Desktop GIS system
  • Supporting with data sets and analysis
  • Understand the wider business reporting requirements and local reporting requirements 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will study for a Level 3 Data Technician Apprenticeship while gaining invaluable work experience and earning a wage.

Reality Check

Desired qualities: Knowledge of Excel is essential, including pivot tables and lookups.  A methodological and adaptable approach to problem solving. Strong communication skills both written and verbal, including adapting outputs to both technical and non-technical audiences. Attention to detail.
