What will the apprentice be doing?
You will have responsibilities and daily opportunities to learn e.g. operating UK wide quality control systems, using data from various systems learning to recognise underlying statistical trends and determine the appropriate corrective response. Working with Data Analysts / Technicians to develop reports showing key performance indicators you will observe data usage and reports relevance and distinguish between data and information. We maintain and report data for all Hanson UK business lines.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
During the three year programme will gain experience and relevant qualifications in operational aspects of our business alongside distance learning delivered by The University of Derby. You will be supported by a mentor as well as your line manager and receive first class training internally. Alongside your day to day role on site you will also 'earn while you learn' by completing a foundation degree in mineral extractives, this can also be topped up to a full honours degree.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
