Are you enthusiastic and keen to learn and develop leadership skills in a hands-on environment? At Hanson you can ‘earn while you learn’ by completing a foundation degree in mineral extractives whilst gaining valuable experience in concrete production.


What will the apprentice be doing?

You will develop skills in a concrete laboratory and also out on site, alongside a team of motivated people who will support you. You will gain experience in all areas of the business specialising in concrete production including carrying out testing to ensure a high quality product is delivered to our customers. You will have real responsibilities from early on in your career and the opportunity to learn something new every day.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

During the three year programme will gain experience and relevant qualifications in operational aspects of our business alongside distance learning delivered by The University of Derby. You will be supported by a mentor as well as your line manager and receive first class training internally. Alongside your day to day role on site you will also 'earn while you learn' by completing a foundation degree in mineral extractives, this can also be topped up to a full honours degree.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
