What will the apprentice be doing?
System modelling is an indispensable tool used to ensure MBDA provides robust and reliable weapon systems to our customers.
Through the programme you will learn how to create simulation software in programming languages/environments such as MathWorks MATLAB, Simulink and Stateflow, FORTRAN and C and how to create software in a team using team collaboration tools.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
By the end of this 4 year programme, you'll have achieved a BSc (Hons) in Digital and Technology Solutions at the University of Hertfordshire.
This is a rotational programme, you'll learn how to produce autocode and work with teams that make use of this software in embedded software and Hardware-in-the-Loop. There will also be the chance to produce analysis software that can aid users of modelling software to optimise what they are working on
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Through regular one to ones, development plans and the use of Mentors, you will have the opportunity to shape your career within the organisation. We have many senior members in the organisation that started life as an MBDA apprentice.
