You will be a member of the Software Development team based at the Thales site in Cheadle, near Manchester, and will have the opportunity to work with people at Thales sites across the UK and overseas.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

You will be a member of the Software Development team based at the Thales site in Cheadle, near Manchester, and will have the opportunity to work with people at Thales sites across the UK and overseas.

Key responsibilities will include; the development of Human Computer Interfaces, Acoustic processing, Autonomy and Middleware software products using industry standard tools and methods.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

As a Software Engineering Apprentice you will be studying towards a BSc in Digital and Technology Solutions, following the Software Engineering Pathway. For the duration of this 4 year programme you will be given one day per week in which to attend Manchester Metropolitan University. For the other four days you will be working in the business, applying your university learning and gaining a breadth of experience within the software function.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

At the end of the apprenticeship you be working as a software engineer within the Thales UK businesses.
