Job Description

This role is responsible for managing and scheduling maintenance visits, emergency call outs and ordering service parts. Professional communication, both verbally and in writing, with customers and suppliers is a critical element. There will be full training provided on technical terms and data.


What will the apprentice be doing?

The Service Co-Ordinator Apprentice will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Book customer maintenance visits
  • Request service parts from suppliers and complete purchase orders and Good Delivery notes as required
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers ensuring efficient and effective communication
  • Ensure that all equipment is ready for the engineers at the agreed date, time and location
  • Issue work orders to Customer Support Engineers and Sub Contractors
  • Close off Service Visit Reports
  • Deal with customer queries (both internal and external customers)
  • Assist and support the engineers
  • Manage diary requests
  • Liaise with the Service Sales Team, Projects, and Accounts Department
  • Follow procedures and processes
  • Provide support to the QHSE Manager in certain tasks and also Project Co-ordination and Stock awareness

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. You will complete a 15 month apprenticeship which includes 10 days at the PETA training centre in Cosham. You will be supported every 6 weeks with visits from your PETA Learning & Development Coach.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

There is the intention for a full-time role to be offered to the suitable and successful candidate upon completion of the apprenticeship. Powertecnique will look to retain the Apprentice with progression route including social media marketing, sales and project management.
