Our 24-Month Science Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity for those eager to take their first steps into a career in pharmaceutical manufacturing.


What will the apprentice be doing?

A Science Manufacturing Technician apprentice will get the opportunity to learn:

  • About the products we produce and the manufacturing equipment and processes we use
  • To both independently and within a team start up, operate and shut down a manufacturing process in line with appropriate standard operating procedures
  • About working safely in our manufacturing environment, understanding personal responsibility for Health, Safety and the Environment and principles of risk management
  • About the regulations within our industry and comply within them within your position
  • The structure of our organisation; our products and services we deliver and the sector in which we operate
  • The role of the Manufacturing Operations team, understanding our business strategy and how these apply to your role
  • Gain an understanding of our systems, tools and processes we use in our team and how to apply them to required tasks

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

·         Level 3 Science Manufacturing Technician

·         Including a Level 3 BTEC Foundation Diploma in Applied Science

·         Blended delivery incorporating on-line classes and face to face assessment in the workplace

·         Inputs delivered one day per week

Residential practical and exam sessions (approx. 4 x 3 day sessions during apprenticeship)

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Potential permanent employment following successful completion of apprenticeship
