What will the apprentice be doing?
Harlington Upper School was established in 1973 and quickly established a strong reputation within Central Bedfordshire for academic outcomes and extra-curricular opportunities. As an Upper School it welcomes students from Year 9 through to Year 13. They are a high attaining, academic school with outcomes at GCSE and A Level that consistently top the Bedfordshire league tables.
The role will consist of undertaking office and administrative support to the school front office. Part of the role will include acting as the first point of contact for all visitors and members of the public, answering incoming phone calls from staff, parents and other customers, passing relevant messages to staff and updating and maintaining school records and documents.
This is a term time only position, perfect for those candidates that have children or enjoy the half term holidays!
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will gain the following qualifications:
- Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship
- Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English (if required).
You will also study a range of topics, including: IT, record and document production, decision making, planning and organisation, project management, policies, relevant regulations, stakeholders, processes and external environment factors.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
On successful completion of the apprenticeships, there may be an opportunity to join the support staff team
