Job Description

If you want a career developing better working environments for people, then a Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Level 3 Apprenticeship with Nestlé could be what you’re after. It’s a 24-month learning programme that will show you how we ensure worker safety and promote sustainability here at the biggest food and beverage company in the world.

Joining us here means being free to be yourself. We encourage it—because it’s the diverse personalities, ideas and backgrounds of our team members that makes us the creative organisation we are. So, when you’re here, don’t hold anything back—we want you for who you are!

Join us in Wisbech (Cambridgeshire) and learn by doing a real job under the guidance of top industry experts—you’ll be making your way at Nestlé before you know it.

What the Safety, Health & Environment Level 3 Apprenticeship entails

You’ll mix on-the-job training with block release learning. But, just because you’re working under the guidance of a mentor, that doesn’t mean you won’t be doing a real job. You’ll make a genuine contribution to real life projects, which could include anything from completing risk assessments to improving processes on the shop floor.

During your time with us, you’ll get to experience many different aspects of working in SHE, which will give you a well-rounded understanding of everything that goes on in the function and how it impacts the business. It’ll also give you a chance to decide on the direction you might take your career once you finish the programme.

37.5 is the average number of hours per week, hours are dependent upon business needs.

Who is eligible for the Safety, Health & Environment Level 3 Apprenticeship?

You might have recently left school or perhaps you’ll have spent a few years working before deciding on the direction your career will take. Where you’re up to in life isn’t as important as how much you want to learn by taking on an apprenticeship. To qualify, however, you’ll need GSCEs (level 9-4 or A*-C if received in 2017 or earlier) in Maths and English Language.

What will I get out of a Nestlé Apprenticeship?

For starters, you’ll have got the ball rolling in a career with the company behind world-famous brands like Felix, Winalot and Gourmet, where there’s no limit to how far you can progress. If you’ve got the ambition then there’s literally a world of opportunity at a company like Nestlé.

What’s more, while others rack up student debt on their way to starting a career, you’ll already be earning a wage with a Level 3 professional qualification under your belt. And that’s just the start—we’re all about developing new talent here, so there’s so much more you could achieve.

You can feel good about the work you do here. Not just because you’ll be shaping safer working environments for your colleagues but also because of our ‘Force for Good’ initiative. It’s all about Creating Shared Value (CSV), which means we make sure that achieving our commercial goals also helps important causes like the environment. As a driver of sustainability on our SHE team, you’ll be a direct contributor to that.
