Mechanical/ Electrical/ Software engineer. Based on a 3-year apprenticeship through college day release.

When working with Service Robotics Project Engineering the apprentices may be involved in:

Robotic solution design assistance – aid in taking the robotic solution from the sales concept to a working delivered system

Technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning – practical experience with solutions being delivered to customers

Project documentation – preparation and delivery of documentation within scope of work (e.g. layouts, bill of materials etc.)


  • 2D/3D CAD Simulation packages
  • Design Engineering
  • Offer/ proposal preparation

Project Execution:

  • Online and offline robot programming
  • Commission of automated robotic systems
  • Electrical electronic fault finding

Post Project:

  • Technical Fault finding
  • Maintenance Service support
  • Auto lot site exposure

Qualifications Required

  • GCSE or equivalents at grade C/4 or above including English, maths & Science
  • 3 A Levels or equivalents (Engineering Bias e.g. maths, Physics) - desirable
  • BTEC Level 3 diploma (desirable)
  • Equivalent Level 3 qualification in Engineering (desirable)
  • Full UK Drivers licence (Preferred, but not essential) or willing to start lessons
