Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an apprentice to join our Revenues Team that is responsible for the billing, collection and recovery of council tax and business rates. You will be joining a friendly team with a strong ethos of teamwork and collaboration.


What will the apprentice be doing?

You will be involved in a wide range of activities which will give you valuable practical work experience in a fast-paced customer focussed office environment. As part of your role, you will be responsible for the administration of customer accounts including:

  • Responding to customer enquiries by telephone, in writing and face-to-face
  • Opening and closing accounts
  • Processing applications for discounts and exemptions
  • Setting up direct debits
  • Taking payments and negotiating payment arrangements

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

As well as the experience you will gain through the role itself, you will also continuously develop your organisational, administrative and communication skills whilst studying towards a Level 3 qualification in Business Administration.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

The administration role may be a gateway to further career opportunities, such as management or senior support roles.
