Job Description

Working within the Facilities Team, the Receptionist Apprentice will be the face of Aerial Direct and represent the brand to all those visiting the office. Alongside manning the reception desk they will support the Facilities Manager and Operations Manager with day to day tasks and build strong relationships with external suppliers.

Responsibilities

The Receptionist Apprentice will be responsible for:

  • Providing the first point of contact for all visitors to Aerial Direct HQ, responding to queries or referring to the relevant individual
  • Managing telephone calls, responding to enquiries and redirecting calls
  • Recording, distributing and dispatching mail for the office
  • Providing administrative support to the Facilities team as required
  • Ensuring that reception is well maintained in line with agreed processes
  • Liaising with key facilities suppliers
  • Replenishing operational stock and stationery
  • Ad hoc duties as required
Other information
  • Due to the office’s location in Segensworth, it is desirable for applicants to drive or live locally; the nearest train station is a 25 minute walk.

Future Prospects

There is the possibility for the suitable and successful candidate to move into a full-time role upon completion of the apprenticeship. Potential progression routes include working full-time in the administration or customer service departments.

Skills Required

It is essential that the Receptionist Apprentice is smartly presented as they will be the face of the company. They will also be self-motivated and confident working alone. Other essential qualities include:

Qualities Required

  • Customer service experience
  • Experience working in an administration or receptionist role
  • Interest in the latest technology and mobile phones
  • Experience supporting facilities and/or operations

Qualifications Required

  • GCSEs in maths and English with at least a grade C / 4 or equivalent are required.

Training Provided

Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. You will complete a 15 month apprenticeship which includes 10 days at the PETA training centre in Cosham. You will be supported every 6 weeks with visits from your PETA Learning & Development Coach.
