What will the apprentice be doing?
Work activities will involve undertaking track maintenance and other railway related tasks.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Blended training will be provided with on the job and classroom-based training. A full programme will be outlined at interview stage.
Training will include the following:
• City & Guilds 6497/6499 Level 2 Diploma in Rail Engineering Operative Knowledge/Competence.
• Personal Track Safety
• Track Induction
• Small Tools and Plant
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
This role provides a real route to a career in the Rail Industry. Previous apprentices are now working in roles throughout the business.
