Job Description

Unicef are looking for an apprentice to join their Soccer Aid Team. As their Project Assistant, you will work in a busy and varied role and be responsible for providing smooth project management and administrative support across the campaign, whilst taking ownership of specified projects.

Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Provide day-to-day project management support, updating campaign status report, critical path and other documents to ensure clear communications with stakeholders
  • Provide documentation across the campaign; including research information, project status updates and evaluations
  • Key point of contact for Supporter Care team, providing campaign briefings and supporting with donor communications
  • Provide day-to-day project expenditure support by inputting budget figures, processing and coding invoices
  • Deliver Soccer Aid internal communications activations and input creatively into the engagement of Unicef UK staff with the key projects
  • Day to day Soccer Aid website maintenance, including updating copy and images.
  • Support on building donor communication emails
  • Organise key project meetings, collate meeting agendas, minute meetings and circulate minutes promptly afterwards
  • Organise team travel and accommodation
  • Take responsibility for planning own areas of project work
  • Full training and support will be provided during the induction period, particularly for technical elements such as budget processing and use of website etc.

Future Prospects

  • After your Project Management apprenticeship progress into Project Management, Digital Transformation Manager, Business Development Lead, Programme Manager, Transformation Director and Process Transformation Director or other management roles within your field

Skills Required

  • You will be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
  • You will be able to proactively manage conflicting priorities to ensure objectives are achieved and deadlines met

Qualities Required

  • You will be a strong team player with the ability to build effective working relationships with others, regularly sharing information and updates
  • This role requires use of Excel, Word & PowerPoint
  • Fundraising or financial processing experience would be advantageous

Qualifications Required

  • Five GCSE grades A*-C (9-4) or equivalent, including English and maths
  • Level 3 qualification (A level, BTEC or equivalent)
  • Six months' admin experience
