We have a fantastic opportunity for an apprentice to join our Hire Division in Oldham, to learn what needs to be achieved to deliver successful projects; utilising resources to support with the management of projects whilst building an appreciation for costs, the need for good planning, organisation, leadership, management and communication skills.


What you will do in your working day

  • Monitor the progress of projects currently being undertaken.
  • Support budgeting and cost control, have an awareness of project budgets and build an understanding of planned and actual costs. 
  • Determine, control and manage changes to the scope of the project, including assumptions, dependencies and constraints.
  • Understand the resources required to successfully deliver a project, including employees, sub-contractors

The training you will be getting

You will attend a block release programme with GenII in order to gain an APM Project Management Qualification, and become eligible to be an Associate member of the Association for Project Management (APM). 

You will also carry out a structured in-house development programme to attain the relevant skills, knowledge and behaviours required to achieve your apprenticeship. 

Throughout the duration of your apprenticeship you will be appointed a workplace mentor to support you with your learning.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

On successful completion of your apprenticeship you could potentially  secure a full-time position with Portakabin and further your career with us, dependent on business requirements.
