Job Description

We are looking for an apprentice to learn all aspects of kitchen duties for the baking of brownies for our business. The initial role will be production and prep of the brownies, assisting the kitchen chef, moving forward, there will be opportunities to create other baked goods and desserts for our shop, wholesale customers and online sales.

Responsibilities

We are a busy fun kitchen that produce the highest quality brownies and other dessert products. Under the direction of classically trained chef Craig, the right candidate will have a fantastic grounding in the catering industry.

The kitchens all eat lunch together daily, which is paid time and usually provided by us, we have a monthly scheme where all employees have a box of brownies to take home on payday, plus 25 to spend at the wholesalers for personal use, and they get their birthday off paid as an extra days holiday on top of their 28 days a year.

Duties will include:

  • Preparation of baking trays
  • Weighing and organising dry goods
  • Making brownies
  • Dressing and cutting brownies
  • Store room organisation
  • End of day cleaning and organising duties
  • Stock rotation
  • Stock control

Qualities Required

  • Punctuality
  • Ability to drive as in a rural location with no transport links
  • Ability to follow instructions in a busy kitchen with allergens

Qualifications Required

  • Maths and English desirable but not essential
