What will the apprentice be doing?
You would be working in our Major Equipment Procurement department learning what it is like to manage and maintain our international supply chain. You would be involved in working with current suppliers and identifying new ones so that we can continue to manufacture our world leading systems.You will complete a set of 6 month placements to give you a solid understanding of Procurement within a commercial setting, Some of these placements will be outside Procurement and within other functions.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
On this 4 year programme you will study towards a Business Studies degree at Bolton University on day release for a minimum of one day per week, which will be funded by MBDA. Your on the job training will be within the Major Equipment Procurement department for the remainder of the week. You will be working in an open plan working environment aimed at aiding your learning and development.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Through regular one to ones, development plans and the use of Mentors, you will have the opportunity to shape your career within the organisation. We have many senior members in the organisation that started life as an MBDA apprentice.
