What will the apprentice be doing?
- Getting broad exposure to different areas of Procurement working with our Category Buyers
- Supporting the Procurement team across a range of activities to help improve the quality of supplier-related data e.g. sustainability targets, risk, and supplier data
- Improving understanding of Premier Foods suppliers and trends
- Understanding of suppliers in ingredients; packaging; and services
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Studying towards the Level 4 Commercial Procurement and Supply Apprenticeship Standard with content delivered by training provider SR Supply Chain Consultants Ltd, as well as internal training and development and lots of opportunities to apply new skills
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
It is envisaged that the successful applicant could carry on to a role as a Buyer or Procurement Associate with us depending on how successful they are.
Reality CheckThis is a busy working environment where using a wide range of skills is essential. The role will be a combination of face-to-face and remote working requiring some flexibility. IT equipment will be provided. Must be able to work within a small team.
