Job Description

A plastering apprentice can be a really great opportunity if you want to become a plasterer. You will get the chance to learn the trade from the very start, after your apprenticeship you will be in a position to gain permanent employment - or go self-employed.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding & learning the difference between the materials we use and apply in the different areas
  • Working along side our other staff members & clients
  • Loading & unloading the vans
  • Moving materials to the areas we will be working
  • Cleaning
  • Labouring
  • Basic plastering

Please note that a driving license is essential for this role.

Future Prospects

  • Further training or a permanent position for the right candidate

Skills Required

  • Materials - Knowing how much material you will need to complete the work
  • Safe Working - Apply safe working practices
  • Working Environment - Interpret and use drawings
  • Fixing And Jointing Plasterboard - Using hand applied and machine applied systems

Qualities Required

  • Excellent hand-eye co-ordination skills
  • Practical abilities – good with your hands and tools
  • Upper-body strength
  • Physical stamina
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Good attention to detail

Qualifications Required

  • 5 GCSE’s A-C (9-4) inc English & maths preferred

  • Plasterer level 2
