Job Description

We are currently recruiting a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our hugely successful international Pharma/Healthcare Road team in Derby as a Customer Service Apprentice. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the world’s leading logistics and freight forwarding companies.


The Pharma/Healthcare Road team are customer-centric, working hard to delight our customers every day. Our Customer Service Apprenticeship is a 24 month programme, combining practical on-the-job training with study towards the Customer Service qualification. You will work within a successful team while learning everything you need to know whilst being supported by your peers, your managers, and the apprenticeship team within Kuehne+Nagel.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with the key account Pharmaceutical and Healthcare customers and internal Kuehne + Nagel Pharma network
  • Timely Processing and handling of customer orders, requests, and quotations 
  • Build market knowledge and experience 
  • Investigate any challenges that may arise in relation to the movement of cargo and respond to them in a thorough and speedy manner
  • Heavily customer focused and will require constant communication with a variety of key contacts through various forms of communication methods.
  • Ensure Customer Satisfaction is delivered at every stage
  • Booking of cargo for collection/delivery slots with customers
  • Maintain GDP compliant standards (in line with training provided)

Future Prospects

  • Your salary will also be reviewed after 12 months and there's a great bonus on offer once you have fully completed your apprenticeship. You will be supported throughout by a network of mentors, line managers and previous apprentices to help you achieve your qualifications and progress along your apprenticeship journey
