Job Description

Responsibilities include Lifeguarding, Cleaning and setting up equipment. NPLQ course provided. As well as the above, to succeed in this role, you’ll also need to be comfortable helping customers with issues away from life guarding, have a positive outlook on life and be able to communicate well with other members of your team.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an Operations Assistant / Lifeguard.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lifeguarding
  • Cleaning and setting up equipment

NPLQ course provided.  

As well as the above, to succeed in this role, you’ll also need to be comfortable helping customers with issues away from life guarding, have a positive outlook on life and be able to communicate well with other members of your team. Working hours will include days, evenings and weekends

Candidates must be able to:

  • Jump / dive into deep water
  • Swim 50 metres in no more than 60 seconds
  • Swim 100 metres continuously on front and 100m continuously on back
  • In deep water, tread water for 30 seconds
  • Surface dive to the floor of the pool
  • Climb out of the pool unaided without using a ladder / steps where the pool design permits

At Everyone Active you will be studying towards your Leisure Team Member Apprenticeship Level 2 Standard over the course of 15 months.

Future Prospects

Progression includes team leader, duty manager 

Opportunities include swimming teaching/ reception / sales and fitness. 

Reality Check

Role subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Able to work weekends.

Training Provided

Level 2 Leisure Team Member apprenticeship standard, which include:

  • IQL Level 2 Award in Pool Lifeguarding
  • Level 2 Certificate in Fitness or Gym Instruction
  • Level 1&2 Swimming Teacher Qualifications
