Job Description

As an Ultra Apprentice you will be taken through a combination of training within an operations team focused on the manufacture and testing of Electronic and Mechanical equipment. Working within a team of Operators, Technicians and Engineers to develop experience and skills relevant to roles within the team.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

Manufacturing high precision products from detailed engineering drawings for the aerospace industry
Manufacturing a variety of sub-assemblies for use with Ultra’s range of high precision products using appropriate tooling and processes in accordance with the individual’s scope of approval.
Setup tooling such as presses, drills, special to type tooling etc in accordance with controlled documentation, and in accordance with the individual’s scope of approval.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The apprentice will gain a level 3 Engineering Technician qualification. 

This will include level 2 competance, level 3 develpoment competance and level 3 competance knowledge. 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

This apprenticeship could lead to Technician roles or Manufacturing Engineering roles. Alternatively, we are always looking to progress our management team within Operations.

Reality Check

This programme is a great opportunity, however, will require a lot of hard work and dedication. Learners will be expected to study at the same time as contributing towards the workplace. Failure to complete the apprenticeship may also result in failure to remain in employment.
