Job Description

The role will support the work of the Monitoring and Data Manager, Monitoring Officer and the wider Monitoring and Evaluation Team in the delivery of the wider evaluation of City of Culture.


The Trust seeks to appoint a Monitoring and Data Assistant Apprentice to support gathering feedback, understanding who is taking part in our activities and their experiences of our work to ensure we meet our intended outcomes and the expectations of our funders and partners.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Support the deployment of resources needed for appropriate data collection in line with the Trust’s monitoring and evaluation framework/strategy
  • Lead small projects, exploring opportunities for data capture and embedding data capture within events
  • Input data collected into the Trust’s data warehouse and systems, ensuring that data is cleansed and usable for analysis by colleagues and partners
  • Learn and develop research skills
  • Supporting events while overseeing the data capture process and resources
  • Opportunity to be hosted within the core partners of the larger Monitoring & Evaluation team to gain broader knowledge and skills
  • Be an internal champion, sharing the importance of research and evaluation within the development of programmes associated with City of Culture
  • To ensure that the health and wellbeing of colleagues, partners and participants are always a key consideration of your work
  • To work flexibly as a member of the Coventry 2021 team and contribute to delivering other elements of the wider team’s work programme as required

Qualifications Required

  • A grade 4/C or equivalent in maths and English GCSE
