The role will include working within the engineering and maintenance team supporting the department responsible for services and production machinery. This is an exciting opportunity which will enable the apprentice to learn a real craft in an expanding company in a new and growing industry.


The successful candidate will be trained as an apprentice maintenance engineer whilst undertaking a structured program of academic study and workshop training.

This will include:

  • Observing, learning and understanding a wide range of engineering skills and processes while under the instruction of skilled technical staff
  • Assisting the maintenance team in their day to day responsibilities
  • Supporting the engineering department to manage their workloads
  • Maintaining machinery and equipment in the FMCG industry
  • Planned preventative maintenance
  • Involvement in ad hoc and planned project work

Qualifications Required

GCSE maths and English at Grade D or above.

Applicants may be required to attend Functional Skills maths and English classes if they do not meet the required level.

Training Provided

Full training will be provided on an ongoing daily basis and when required. You will be working towards the apprenticeship. An assessor will be allocated to you to support you through you course. You will be expected to attend college one day a fortnight on a Friday. Time spent training will be part of the agreed contracted hours of the working week.
