Job Description

The QinetiQ Mechanical Engineering discipline consists of around 300 engineers, scientists and technicians, working within three distinct Groups; Naval Architecture and Maritime Engineering, Stress, Structures and Advanced Products and Design and Fabrication skill groups.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

The teams at Shoeburyness are focused on the Environmental Test Centre (ETC).

Our UKAS accredited ETC offers an entire suite of environmental testing of munitions for Land, Sea & Air, ranging across Dynamic Testing (Impact, Vibration and Drop), Climatic Testing (Hot and Cold environments, Immersion, Spray and sand conditions) and Radiographic Imagery. Outside of the UKAS accredited testing we also provide CT Scanning and Sectioning facilities.
