Job Description

Two Stroke to Turbo Ltd are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join their team as a Mechanical and Body Shop Apprentice.

Responsibilities

  • To be sponge to absorb what they are being taught by the technicians teaching them
  • To be able to work safely and maintain a clean safe working environment
  • Actively work together with the team and interact asking questions
  • To research themselves about what they are being taught and show a real interest
  • Work to a high standard taking care and respecting customer’s cars
  • Being honest as things can go wrong sometimes and damage can occur, owning up
  • The mechanical placement will be servicing, repairing, fault finding and building repairing engines and gearboxes

The body shop will teach all aspects of car Restoration to the highest level comprising of welding, body work repairs, painting and stripping and fitting up and refurbishment of parts before reassembling classic cars as well as modern cars accident repairs.

Future Prospects

We would hope they continue to learn and develop, becoming a fully qualified technician.

Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Skills Required

  • Tools and tool box
  • Knows how to use tools
  • Can read work shop manuals and understand steps to be taken / following instruction
  • Computer skills
  • Writes clearly to complete job cards

Qualifications Required

No previous qualifications are required.

You must have access to your own transport.

Training Provided

The apprentice will be taught all of the relevant underpinning knowledge relating to the Autocare Level 2 apprenticeship - The apprenticeship learning will take place at North Hertfordshire College in Stevenage.
