Martin-Baker Procurement / Sourcing Apprenticeship Scheme - Advanced (Level 3)

Martin-Baker is the world leader in the manufacture of ejection and crashworthy seats and related safety systems. We have vacancies at our Denham sites, whereby successful candidates will join our apprenticeship scheme in our Procurement / Sourcing Departments.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

During a typical working day you will be trained by experienced employees who are keen to pass on their wealth of knowledge to the future of our business. Within the Procurement Team, you will have a different day every day!  

The roles are varied and have interaction with different departments across the business.  You will be expected to deal with all levels of management within the business, working closly with both internal and external customers.  You will liaise with the Quality Assurance and Manufacturing departmetns to ensure that product, services and materials are supplied to the technical and quality standards required.

Overall, this apprenticeship will give you a unique experience in the MBA procurement processes of buying goods & services used for the Ejection and Crashworthy seat programmes.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will receive on the job training from our experienced employees at Martin-Baker. You will attend the college of our preferred training provider to be taught Level 3 Procurement and Supply Assistant Apprenticeship on day release from the business.

You will receive support and mentoring from the Training Department of Martin-Baker.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

There are various exciting opportunities open to apprentices at the end of the scheme, it is expected that you will 'graduate' to an Assistant Account Manager upon completion of the Apprentieship, and from there there are various different pathways for you to take.

Reality Check

We would like at least 5 GCSEs including English, Mathematics and a Science subject. You will need to be graded 9-5 in English, Mathematics, and Science. If you have studied to A-Level in a Business related subject, that would be beneficial.
