What will the apprentice be doing?A typical working day will depend upon the area of the business in which you are placed, however irrelevant of where in the business you work, you will be trained by experienced employees who are keen to pass on their wealth of knowledge to the future of our business. Whether you are building sub-assemblies in the Assembly Department, machining parts in the Machine Shop or developing and running tests in the Environmental Test department, you will have a different day every day!
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?You will receive on the job training from our experienced employees at Martin-Baker. You will attend the college of our preferred training provider to be taught Advanced Mechanical Engineering L3 New Standards or Technical Support BTEC L3 New Standards. You will receive support and mentoring from the Training Department of Martin-Baker.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship? There are various exciting opportunities open to apprentices at the end of their four year scheme - whether that is as an Assembly Operative, Machine Shop Operative, Inspector or Environmental Test Technician.
