Job Description

We have an opportunity for an apprentice to join our Marketing & Recruitment Team, supporting the team with the promotion of our full-time study programmes and apprenticeships and advertising vacancies through social media and digital channels, as well as events and traditional print-based marketing.

Responsibilities

Our Marketing Apprentice will typically be responsible for:

  • Maintenance and updating of marketing databases
  • Creating and updating website & social media content, including apprenticeship vacancies, events and topical/campaign-driven images, videos and articles
  • Responding to enquiries through the website, live chat and social media
  • Forwarding enquiries to the appropriate staff member(s) and recording inbound leads and/or applicant enquiries accordingly
  • Assisting with the creation, delivery and analysis of marketing activities in line with the marketing plan and the marketing budget
  • Ensuring that apprenticeship vacancies are appropriately and effectively marketed and represented
  • Supporting with the organisation of events and occasionally attending events
  • Capturing, recording and generating content for newsletters and web blogs that promote HOET staff, learners, employers and qualifications
  • Carrying out marketing apprenticeship training

Future Prospects

An apprenticeship standard in Marketing Assistant at level 3 is a nationally recognised route to a wide variety of office professions. The standards and assessment plans that candidates work towards are set by a number of big employers including Mercedes Benz FS Ltd, Walsall Council, Specsavers and many more.

Reality Check

We offer full training and support, travel expenses, company pension scheme, health care scheme, 33 days holiday allowance (FT inc bank holidays) rising to 38 days after ‘time served’ period (PT holidays Pro Rata) and on-going development opportunities.

Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Skills Required

  • Experience of creating content for websites and/or social media
  • Experience of video content/editing and YouTube
  • Confidence with design software (including Adobe)
  • Ability to write clearly and accurately

Qualifications Required

  • Our marketing apprentice must have achieved maths and English at Level 2 prior to their training. Those who have not must achieve this prior to taking the end-point assessment and we will support with this
