We are looking for someone to support us in all areas of marketing and communications so that we can continue to move forward with our existing activity and embark on some exciting new projects.


Duties will include:

  • Assist with monitoring The Myton Hospices social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn)
  • Schedule agreed content on Facebook and Twitter
  • Find relevant new accounts for Myton to follow on Instagram
  • Assist with creating and uploading content to The Myton Hospices blog following a brief
  • Upload agreed content to the staff and volunteers homepage
  • Support the Digital Marketing Executive with a range of tasks including sending participant emails from the website for group sign ups
  • Assist with digital media creation for The Myton Hospices online channels such as photo and video
  • Work with design packages to produce content for social media
  • Support the Graphic Designer with tasks including setting designs to print ready
  • Carry out in house printing of leaflets and posters and use the guillotine
  • Liaise with suppliers including printers to request quotes, confirm jobs, send artwork and create purchase orders
  • Keep a record of all purchase orders
  • Proofread a range of documents
  • Suggest updates to copy on existing materials
  • Support the Press and Media Officer with tasks including collecting, scanning and filing press cuttings - in print and online

Future Prospects

Possibility to progress to Level 4 apprenticeship.

Qualifications Required

  • Digital communication channels (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram)

Training Provided

  • Advanced Marketing Assistant standard
  • 20% of work hours spent off-the-job training
  • Blended learning, with online study materials and a monthly one-to-one Skype tutorial, plus topic specific webinars
