What will the apprentice be doing?
This role offers you the ability to earn while you learn and gain a qualification whilst getting practical experience in a state-of-the-art, highly automated food manufacturing environment. Learning the role of a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Providing a rapid response to machinery breakdown.
- Monitoring the performance of key service and factory machinery.
- Planned maintenance on service and factory machinery.
- Fault diagnostics of all key equipment.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- The apprentice will be studying the Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Level 3 apprenticeship standard.
- EAL Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering - (Foundation Competence)
- EAL Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering – Mechatronic Maintenance Technician – (Development Competence)

This role will require some form of shift pattern on a rota basis to ensure that the apprentice gains experience across all areas, across weekends and bank holidays, and at various times in the day.
