The role of Production Engineer is to manufacture components that are used in our products and projects using Vertical Machining centres, Turning centres, manual machining methods and also Bespoke semi-automated machinery.

Responsibilities

The role of Production Engineer is to manufacture components that are used in our products and projects using Vertical Machining centres, Turning centres, manual machining methods and also Bespoke semi-automated machinery.

This role requires a multitude of Engineering competences as the tasks and work we undertake is quite varied as we react to the daily challenges and increasing production demands.

You will Work as part of the team to provide Engineering solutions and support to all departments when required.

The Engineer will work to a busy production schedule but will also use their initiative to make on the spot decisions and prioritise what can be done in the time available

Duties and responsibilities

  • To ensure all components are manufactured to drawing and are within specified tolerances/quality standards
  • Ensure housekeeping is regularly conducted to the 5’s standards set
  • To print off necessary Production Documents/Drawings  when required ensuring correct revision control
  • Book finished goods in using Factory master system
  • Manually create, adjust and modify programs / CAD models as required.
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance schedules and report any machine/tooling issues as they arise
  • Report any concerns in Safety, Quality, Delivery as and when they arise
  • Attend training courses as required for the role
  • Train other people to conduct duties you are competent in when required
  • Adhere to company Policies and Procedures
