Job Description

Lucky Beans Childcare offers a unique, boutique and deeply personal answer to childcare, They aim to help children flourish in all areas and understand the importance of developing young minds. They are based in south west London and are currently recruiting for the 6 sites they have in between SW16 and SW17.


We are looking for provide supervision and day to day support for the staff team within the designated area of the day care provision.  Duties will include;

  • To ensure a warm, welcoming, safe and attractive environment for the children within the nursery and to ensure provision of high quality integrated care and education for young children
  • To participate in the work, organisation and development of the nursery, in accordance with the aims of the centre, under direction from the Nursery Manager
  • To support manager on request and support them in delivering the agreed objectives of the nursery’s Key areas  
  • To be responsible for the security of the building and its contents
  • To have a clear understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures, and to act appropriately should areas of concern arise, in line with the centre’s policies and procedures
  • To develop self-skills in an area of specialism to support the integrated care and education of children. The area of specialism will be negotiated and agreed with the Growing Beans  Manager and Director

Reality Check

Work hours are preferred at 40 – 45 hrs per week but if for the right applicant that needs lower hours, they may be able to lower them to a minimum of 30 – 35hrs per week. There is a requirement, subject to appropriate guidance or training, to lift and carry children, and to spend time outdoors throughout the year and in all weathers. You will be required to provide a satisfactory enhanced DBS check (and other, if required), Two satisfactory references and entitlement to work in the UK.
