Job Description

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

Based at our newest distribution centre in Tamworth where our team pick, pack and process up to 3.5 million units of food per week at peak. During your apprenticeship you will be a part of our warehouse team overseeing our busy picking operations and learn about our transport department and how we deliver our products to our customer. The programme is rotational in nature, so you’ll get a broad understanding of how we feed the nation before you progress into your next role. As your leadership skills develop, your level of responsibility will grow throughout the duration of the programme.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The Greencore Degree Apprenticeship Programme is designed to help you reach your potential and build a rewarding career in food. 
In partnership with Nottingham Trent University, this 4-year degree programme will align your studies to real work, allowing you to earn a great salary and become an integral part of our management team (subject to development and performance). 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

As your leadership skills develop, your level of responsibility will grow throughout the duration of the programme.  

Reality Check

Our operation is 24/7 so you will need to be open to working shift patterns. As part of the programme it may be beneficial for you to experience operations at other Direct to Store sites in England. If this is the case, you may need to relocate for periods of time, and be willing to travel.
