Come and join us at Central Bedfordshire Council, exciting level 3 apprenticeship opportunities are now available for those who aspire to take on supervisory / management roles within the care sector working with older people or individuals with learning disabilities.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

We will work with you on a daily basis to give you the opportunities  to start  to develop your skills and knowledge in relation to staff supervision, shift planning and key administration tasks such as care planning and medication administration. You will also be able to further develop in key areas such as assessment and support planning. Our aim is to support you so by the end of your apprenticeship you will have the confidence to undertake a supervison role.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The apprentice will have access to a range of learning opportunities, including face to face learning, e-learning and monthly tutorials which will help to achieve the full Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship. The Care Certificate is achieved as part of this apprenticeship.
The apprentice will be assigned an assessor who will support them throughout the apprenticeship, assess their work and practice.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

At Central Bedfordshire Council we hope to retain our apprentices. Towards the end of your programme you’ll be supported to apply for vacant positions. Should you wish to move onto new or higher qualifications, we’ll also help you to do so.
