Responsibilities
What will the apprentice be doing?
As an Apprentice Educator, you will join our specialist Apprenticeship Programme which will provide you with hands on experience across all of our age groups both in the rooms and out at Forest School, as well as dedicated study time. With the support of your mentor you will learn the skills you need to qualify as a confident, experienced childcare educator.
Day to day you will:
- Learn from and support your team in the delivery of basic childcare routines, for example; welcoming children into the setting, mealtimes, sleep and basic care
- Have fun with the children, helping them to learn through play
- Enjoy undertaking learning opportunities through internal and external training courses
- Build on your knowledge of child development by planning activities to challenge and stimulate children of different age groups
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Full Training to be provided by Professional Training Solutions in partnership with Barnkids
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Ongoing employment as Nursery Educator with great salary and benefits once qualified
