Responsibilities
What will the apprentice be doing?
- Preparing letters, memos, emails and reports
- Arranging patient appointments
- Taking minutes of practice meetings
- Managing files and practice records
- Undertaking administrative procedures to register new patients
- Undertaking administrative procedures to deduct patients and process patient clinical notes
- File patient notes
- Update patient records
- NHS Quality framework related tasks – including contact with patients offering reviews and support
- Undertake administrative support in contacting patients relating to our minor operations service
- Filing of lab reports
- General administration support to the management/administrative team of the practice
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Level 3 Business Administrator Standard
- Functional Skills Level 2 in English and maths if required
- End Point Assessment: Knowledge Test; Professional Discussion; Presentation/Q&A
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
