Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Apprentice Learning and Development Specialist to join our People team. Reporting to our Learning and Development Partner, you will support, promote and deliver elements of a successful and engaging Early Career programme across the Group, whilst developing your own skills and experience as an apprentice.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Support the Learning and Development Partner with our Early Careers programme
  • Engage with Early Career cohorts across the business, their managers and their training providers to identify learning and development needs and track their progress on programme
  • Plan and organise events both developmental and social to increase engagement across the programme
  • Work with our Colleague Engagement Specialist and Marketing team to share early career success stories

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The successful applicant will complete an 18-month Level 3 Learning and Development Practitioner Apprenticeship qualification through a fun and engaging blended learning approach. This will include workshops, online resources, activities and coaching sessions, supported by the Learning and Development Partner, wider People team, training provider, and Hendy's very own Training Academy.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

On completion of your apprenticeship, you will progress to being a Learning and Development Specialist within our dedicated People team.

An Apprenticeship at the Hendy Group is just the start however; we don’t want your journey to end once you have achieved your qualifications - we will nurture your talent and support you with your goals to enable you to have a long and fulfilling career with us.

There is no requirement for Learning and Development Practitioner apprentices to undertake a Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) accredited qualification, however cHRysos HR offers the CIPD Foundation Certificate in Learning and Development as part of the apprenticeship.
