Responsibilities
What will the apprentice be doing?
- Will lead and support physical activities and sport activities in the extra-curricular programme including breakfast clubs, lunchtimes and after the school day.
- Support the Director of Sport with day to day management tasks. E.g. administrative noticeboards, equipment, management of teams at competitions on and off the school site.
- Lead and support other physical activity projects (as identified by the academy) to encourage more children to be physically active. E.g. delivery of targeted activities, developing school to community links, personal challenge activities, youth sport forums.
- Provide other support in classroom settings as determined by the academy.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- To train for Level 3 Teaching Assistant standard and work with the Priory Apprenticeships to support coursework assignments and observations, ensuring that all deadlines are met

- Level 1/2 Functional Skills in Maths and English (if required)
- End-Point Assessment (EPA)
- Teaching Assistant workshops located in Lincoln, typically held once a month

Reality Check
GCSE Maths and English Grade C and above, or equivalent are required for this role. However, applications will be considered for this position from candidates who do not hold these qualifications as Functional Skills training will be given to the successful applicant. Good interpersonal skills are vital, with a desire to develop techniques to motivate and support young people.Skills Required
